Kingaroy Anglican Community
We are a welcoming group of believers who want all people to feel valued, loved and safe.
About
St. Michael’s of All Angels was completed in 1911. The architect was Colin Deighton (a well known designer of a number of country churches and the Anglican church at Clayfield) Mr Jacob Bonding, a successful local experienced craftsman, was given the task of building the church. It is believed that much of the interior timbers was sourced and milled locally. The total cost of the building including furnishings was 2000 pounds (somewhat higher than had been anticipated) The church building is Heritage listed while the accompanying buildings: the Gilday centre and Hall are not. Both the Gilday and hall have rich histories of their own in the life of the Kingaroy community.
